God, the Son, Jesus, the Lamb that was slain for our sins, was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 7:13-14), born of the virgin Mary. He was the vicarious sacrifice for the sin of all mankind through His death on the cross; He arose from the dead in His own glorified body, appeared to many, ascended into Heaven, and will return to earth in power and glory. He is the Head of His Body, the Church. (Mathew 27:52, Luke 24, Acts 1:9)
God, The Holy Spirit, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; reconciles man to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about the new birth, and dwells in the believer enabling him to grow in sanctification. (John 16:5-16)
Man was made in the image and likeness of God. After committing the original sin, done by Adam and Eve, mankind fell from God and become sinful in nature. Man is totally incapable of returning to God by himself and is lost without hope, apart from the salvation of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26, John 3:16, 1stTimothy 2:5-6)
Salvation is the gift of God through unmerited favor, His saving grace and faith of Jesus Christ. The Name Jesus Christ is the only name by which men can be saved. Through repentance, utterly turning away from sin and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death, man is born anew into the Kingdom of God by the Holy Spirit(John 3:3). The Church is the body and bride of Christ that has been entrusted by the Great Commission. (Mathew 28:18-20)
We have an eternal hope and that there is coming a time where the Consummation of all things will take place which includes the visible personal return of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the translation of those alive in Christ into the presence of God for eternity. (1st Thessalonians 4:14-18). This is what we believe here at the precious christian dailydevotionals and are excited about it.
