A Simple Strategy to Biblical Fasting

Biblical Fasting is a unique and very rewarding experience. How to fast is a question often asked by many people. We dealt extensively with that in our series Prayer and Fasting and Christian Fasting. There are many, innumerable benefits of fasting. Again, there is no prescribed way.
The following is a strategy for you to put in place as you prepare and undertake biblical Fasting. This will help you reap most of the benefits of fasting.

Focus

Focus is a vital ingredient when praying and fasting.
Write down your prayer items so that you can be clear as you call on God in prayer and fasting. I will put here an example of some of the prayer points that you can write down. This is a Biblical Fasting illustration.
The focus here is �Fasting For an Unsaved Member of your household�.

Deliverance.

(Let as take for instance, your brother.)

God destroy the taste of alcohol from his mouth in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Father, put an utter end to the promiscuous behavior. Father, delink him from friends that are not adding to him. Cut off all the scorners, mockers and sinners from his life in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God, save him; deliver him and fill him with the Holy Spirit. Father, bring friends who know Jesus Christ his way. Father, destroy the heart of stone in him and place in him a heart of flesh.

Passion

God let him pursue you with all his heart, mind and strength. Father, like Job, let there be a declaration in his heart � I have loved your word more than my necessary food� God, place a desire for you and your word in his heart in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God, let the fruit of the Holy Spirit be made manifest in his life in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Father, like Solomon, let his heart cry be Wisdom, which is the Principle thing.

Blessing

Father, I bless my brother. I ask that every heavenly blessing let it be his. Father, I bless him in his going out and in his coming in. God, I pray that, let him be blessed in the city and in the land. Father, open the windows of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will be no room left. Father, I bless his wife; God touch her. Cause her to be the wife you have ordained her to be. I decree harmony, unity, oneness and peace in this house in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I bless his children. God, let them be like vines around his table. Let them bring joy and not shame to him. I cover them with the blood of Jesus Christ and declare that the angel of death shall not touch them in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Conclusion

God, bless him, multiply him and increase him. Dear Lord, turn your face toward him, keep him, and grant him peace. Let there be nothing missing and nothing broken in his life, marriage and household in Jesus Great Name, Amen.
Thank you Lord for you say, Call unto me and I will answer. Father, I have called. Thank you in advance for the answers in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
