A testimony when I fasted, prayed and trusted in the Lord

I am always inspired by the book of Jeremiah 29:11 "For God has plans for us to prosper and not harmed, to have hope and a future".

In the year 2008, my husband and I were desperate for a baby as we had been together for three years but I could not get pregnant for some reason.

After months of praying, fasting, with our faith and trust in the Lord, he answered our prayer and I was finally pregnant. However, there was bad news when I was 8 weeks pregnant. A massive cyst was found in me and required emergency surgery. I was told by the doctors that there is a chance that I will lose the baby as they may have to remove my womb as they suspected that the cyst was too massive that it infected my womb.

I trusted in God just as his word says in Psalm 40:4 Blessed is he who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud nor turn aside to false gods. I cried to the Lord for strength and guidance.

When I was wheeled to the surgery room, I told the doctors, I trust in God that he will heal me and my baby. Throughout the two hour surgery, I was awake and saw everything they were doing to me..I coudn't stop the tears flowing down my cheeks as I heard the doctor saying that the baby was fine. They removed my left ovary without harming my baby.

I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful girl and named her Faith Victoria as it was our faith in God that pulled us through to the end.

Gods love for us is immense.

I will always give him the praises and honour.
