FamilyBorn in North Carolina, Bishop Eddie L. Long, studied for his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University, he went to Atlanta’s Interdenominational Theological Center where he attained a Master’s of Divinity degree. AwardsBishop Eddie Long was named as one of America's 125 most influential leaders and has received many awards in recognition to his world-impacting ministry, in 2004; Bishop Eddie Long and New Birth’s production team were awarded for an Emmy for “The Face of Homelessness.” Bishop Long was honored by the Center for Disease Control and the National HIV/AIDS Partnership (NHAP) for his outstanding work in fighting the spread of HIV/AIDS. In 2006, Bishop Long was honored by the King family to host and officiate the homegoing ceremonies for Mrs. Coretta Scott King, wife of the late Martin Luther King, Jr., historically attended by four Presidents (George Bush, Bill Clinton, H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter).

That The Almighty God you will bless the work of his hands and that God you will grant him and all his team peace. May you contend with them that are attacking him and let them never succeed and may instead every curse be turned to a blessing. God continue to fill them with humility and may the focus of spreading the Gospel never depart from their hearts.
